Dagfinn Rime is Professor of Finance at the Department of Finance, BI Norwegian Business School. He has studied several issues of foreign exchange markets, including liquidity, speculative attacks, dealer behavior, forecasting, arbitrage and response to news. His research has been published in journals like Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics and Journal of International Economics. Before coming to BI, he held various positions in the Norges Bank (Central Bank of Norway), including senior researcher, manager in the research unit, and consultant for the markets operations department. He has also been a adjunct professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), 2006-2012, and a visiting research fellow at SIFR (Stockholm) 2001-2006. Prof. Rime received his PhD from the BI Norwegian Business School in 2001.

He is also an active contributor to the Annual Central Bank Workshop on Microstructure, which will be organized for the 14th time in Hong Kong in November 2018.
